REGULAR CLUB MEETING
Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
VENUE : Chempaka Room, Safira
Club, Seberang Jaya, Perai.

INTRODUCTION
Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club was chartered on June 13th, 1998 and sponsored by Butterworth Toastmasters Club. To date Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club have 25 members with 4 new recruited during the year, 2 members left due to personal reasons.
During the year 2000/2001, the Executive Committee of the club met 10 times and held its meeting on the last Tuesday of every month at residences of Miss. P.A Lim and Mr. and Mrs. Teoh Choon Hock.
An extraordinary meeting was held on 5th September,2000 at Chempaka Room, Safira Club. After the regular club meeting All members present consensually agreed to have our own homepage as displayed by Philip Ng. RM12.00 per member per annum for the subsidizing the homepage and for web maintainence.RM50.00 per quarter was paid to the homepage editor, Mr. Philip Ng.

3. EDUCATION
Educational Achievements
Dr. Sivagnanam achieved the educational award as Competent Toastmaster ( CTM ) in Nov 2000.
Mr. Ng Fook Chin achieved the educational award as Competent Toastmaster ( CTM) in April 2001. A credit award was also given to him for being the mentor of Silterra Club.
Our club received a Founder Ribbon for sponsoring Silterra Club.

4. EXECUTIVE OFFICERS INSTALLATION
Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club Executive Committee 2000/2001 was installed on 19th August, 2000 at Safira Club, Seberang Jaya together with the event of Humorous Speech Contest attended by over 70 Toastmasters members,Club Officers,VIP and guests. The winners were Ms. Alicia Cheah,(Champion) Mr. Vivekananadan (1 R) and Mr. Teoh Choon Hock.(2R)
Our club members attended the other clubs officers installation such as Bayan Baru Toastmasters Club at the City Bayview Hotel IBBM Toastmasters Club at the Cititel Hotel and Butterworth Toastmasters Club 20th Anniversary at the Copthorne Hotel,Penang.
DIVISION N CONVENTION
3 members from our club attended the N6 Speech Contest on 7th April 2001 at Ipoh.
PA Lim,CL represented our club for the Speech Contest and successfully obtained 2nd runner up in the contest
ACTIVITIES
Our club had organized the in-house Evaluation contest on 19th September 2000 and was participated by 7 contestants. The winners were Dr. Sivagnaman,(Champion) Dr. Dass (1R) and Mr. Tneh Aik Hong.(2R)
Our club co-host for Area Evaluation and Humorous Contest for Division N at Seberang Jaya Public Library on Oct 2000.
On 4th Jan 2001, a join meeting was held together by our club and Bayan Baru Toastmasters Club at Panther Club, Relau.
On 20th Feb 2001, In-house table topic contest was being held with 9 contestants took part. The winners were Ms. PA Lim,CL,(Champion) Ms. Alicia Cheah(1R)and Ms. Sue Chan(2R).
Quarterly Birthday Celebration was organized for the club members on Sep 2000, Dec 2000 and Mar 2001.
A farewell dinner had been arranged specially for Sargeant At Arms Mr. Jason who had left and went to further his study in Singapore on 17th Jan 2000.
Two educational talk were held. The 1st talk by. Mr. KK Chee,CTM on the topic of Evaluate To Motivate was held on 15th Aug 2000. The 2nd talk was given by Ms. SL Liew,DTM on the topic of How To Prepare Speeches on 16th Jan 2001.
SOCIAL EVENTS
A joined meeting was held on 19th Dec 2000 for the Christmas celebration together with Butterworth Toastmasters Club.
In conjunction with Chinese New Year, a celebration was organized with serving of foods by the Chinese members on Jan 2001.
SJTMC HOMEPAGE
A club homepage was set up with the effort and contribution by Mr.Philip Ng currently the editor of the homepage and with supports of the editorial committee.

CONCLUSION
Seberang Jaya Toastmasters Club is growing stronger into it 4th year with the commitments, dedications and supports from members towards the educational, communication and leadership objectives,goals in Toastmasters movement.
